Airport~Eatin', Cachin' and Croakin'

2009.07.09
Assistant to the photoblogger and I rode our bikes about 4 miles out to Chico airport to have lunch with family. The air museum next to the sandwich shop was open...this old Soviet Union era plane intrigued me.

Careful Comrade!

I wanted to get closer to this Navy plane, but I could see the docent was hunting me down...didn't really have time to hear about the planes.

Doesn't she look excited to be riding her bike on a hot day?

I'm sure Anthony rode home faster than we did!

Grampy honked as he passed us.

As we were geocaching, we found a pond full of giant bullfrogs.

They were laying in the water with just their heads sticking up.

Before I realized they were there, the splashes of them hitting the water scared me.

There was also a noisy green heron in the far tree.

This road reflector actually hid a geocache...tricky! We got cache #100 tonight.

I had to take Tom back to see the frogs...I think their croaking was so loud it vibrated the far bridge.

We scared the green heron back into his tree...too dark to get his picture. We'll be back.
