Yesterday's lunch- tres Sweedish- open faced salmon and egg sandwiches on wheat toast with butter lettuce, tomato, dill and a dallop of mustard sauce and caviar. The pickle is one of those most excellent pickles from the B'more farmer's market.

Yesterday's dinner- barbequed chicken, warm potato salad, steamed veg.

Okay, I don't eat pork, but I know many of you do. I love the "feet and bones" and choice of jowls. For those of you who want to know what scrapple is- it's sort of the Bawlamore/Pennsylvania Dutch equivalent of haggis, only no sheep stomach.

I finally talked Liiiisa into coming up and checking out the B'more farmer's market. We had to laugh at our similar taste in bags. ;-)

After the market, she wanted to check out a funky neighborhood she hadn't yet been to, so I took her to Hampden (where the Honfest took place). I never noticed the top of this storefront, but I did today- pretty cool!

We stopped and had drinks n snacks at Rocket to Venus I went there with Liz after the fashion show I posted on here awhile back. We shared this cheese plate and...

some tasty muddled cucumber drinks. They hit the spot on a hot summer's day! (I took this with my mini tripod and the self timer, hence our heads being cut off ;-) ).

We also stopped in Atomic Books. I bought the sticker for my car to cover up where another sticker had peeled off (I have a t shirt with the same thing on it). At the checkout, they had this tiny "Holy Bibel". I thought some of you spelling nerds might also think it was funny (like I did) ;-)

The drinks look like mojitos though... ;-) Love your lunch and all the market stuff! I went to a bookstore like Atomic books in Santa Cruz (CA), had loads of fun there.

Tulpje- kind of like mojitos- made of muddled Japanese cucumber, a little sugar, sprite, and in my case vodka, and in Liiisa's case, gin.
