022. Rail Trip to Mae Klong [part I]
2009.11.08
In the southern part of the middle region, Chao Praya and other main rivers of Thailand flow to the sea in spreading wide mouths. Thus make this area become unique with its landscape, semi-salted water, plants, animals, birds, and life style of people who live here. Mae Klong, one of such many districts which are located in this area, was my destination for today...
I started by crossing the Chao Praya river to Tha Chalom, the opposite side of the bank. You can see many ocean-crossing trade ships anchored at the dock. White gulls were flying around, high and low, to catch their meals.

From time to time, a tug boat would pass by.

I travelled alone, with my camera in hands, a backpack readied with necessary stuff, including my medicines, since I had catched a cold a few days ago and still be recovering. I walked down a track from the pier to the train station, and waited there for the train to Mae Klong.
I ate my lunch. Then walked around the station. There was a train decorated nicely to promote travelling in Thailand.

This cat was so cute. His owner might be one of staff at the station. I couldn't help stop and took a photo. ^_^

At last, here was the train ....
I hurried on to find myself a good seat. And now, off we go!
