Early morning texture and colour (500th Post!)

When I woke up this morning it was glorious sunshine outside (after torrential rain yesterday) so I got up early and went out for a short stroll before breakfast to try and find a shot for my 500th Photoblog post. As I wandered across one of the lawns I noticed the wonderful bark on this tree (some sort of eucalyptus I presume), beautifully lit in the morning light. I picked this section of the trunk to photograph as it had these young, green leaves growing from it which created a nice colour contrast with the red bark.
