Feel free to give constructive criticism or suggestions or compliments. Fair couple shot

I like it, but i Suggest cropping out the stroller on the left. I would also be watchful for blown out areas like the light on the right. You could use more blur in the background since it's a bit distracting. A pop flash on the couple would of helped this shot allot too.

It's a fascinating image and technically very impressive. I like the fill lighting and the sharpness of double portrait (something which normally wouldn't work).
Now the things I didn't like! The woman's pose is interesting; the man's stiff and unnatural. It's asking a lot from us men to pose naturally in this kind of theme, so well done for getting even that. It's not the pram, but the whole setting I find distracting and rather tacky (sorry), or at least at odds with the stylistic and rather formal subject matter. The wheel would add a touch of magic, but the corn dog vendor kills that. Any chance of re-shooting without the garish stands? If not, I'd Gaussian-blur out as much as possible of the background details to leave only the lights and clone out all the other persons cluttering up the background.

Thanks for the replies. I shot this at a real fair per request of the couple (I like it too). I agree he is a little stiff (though a good sport) and there were flood lights everywhere! I "dodged the spot light, but I could probably do more.

to capture a couple in uncontrollable situation like this is not an easy task heather , first the subject is not a paid model that you have all the time to observe and tell them what to do , however going in on angle shot with several shots and the possible widest ap might make a difference since you can blur and hide the light on their back and select a typical shot for post processing...but still as i said they are not a paid models so you really can't control the situation , this is an excellent portrait shot IMO , i have been following and visiting your site and have seen some of your shot which are really impressive..

I think you should crop out 3/4 of the stroller, and then clone out the rest...and I agree with Revenant...add a blur but instead of a gaussian, try adding a surface blur at 4 radius and 93 pixels..but you can also try the gaussian if you'd like, just be sure not to make it higher than 3.5...it would look too blurry...and dont add a gaussian blur to the sidewalk, it wouldnt look right either...and I would go over the rough edges with the blur tool, but on a low setting just to blend the blur with the non blurred surface as well as the edges around the couple......and try to tone down the glare of the light behind the guys arm by using the little eyedroplet icon, to capture the colour of the dark sky and then using the paint brush, on a very low setting, I would say maybe at a 5or 6 opacity and use a soft round pixel brush to gently brush a little colour on the light, just so that you get rid of some of the harshness.... Well, I hope that this will help you a little...I love the pic, its really a stunning shot, its just the harshness of the light that takes away from the focus of the couple...)
