Photo Collage/Self Portraits

Recently I have been in a funk. Not sure about what to photograph I've felt like I needed to explore a new visual style. This became apparent when in my alternative processes photo class we were assigned collages. I started playing with older photo's I'd taken and then gradually started to think of and execute ideas. Reminiscent of both surrealist images and DaDaist photo montage, I really enjoyed this new visual style. The images above were taken with the intent of being printed through the Van Dyke Brown process (http://www.alternativephotography.com/process_vandyke.html). They came out great and I think I will be trying out photo collage for a while.
